Are you Afraid to Fail?
Life doesn't always go as planned and knowing that we can choose our perspective of what happens to us especially when
it is not desirable, is a huge help to keep us on track.
Confession: I hate to fail!
When it happens, I loose faith in myself and even get angry! It's true. It's especially really painful when failure is on repeat! GRRRRR!
In my experience, when things go wrong, it is much easier to be negative and pessimistic than to be positive and optimistic.
What I am learning:
Every time we fail we have two choices:
1- We can fail forward
2- We can fail backwards
I am learning to accept failure because whether I want it or not, we all fail and resisting it is pointless.
What can I do instead?
Changing my attitude towards failure will help me accept the reality of life and use the experience for future gain.
What choices do I have:
We can choose to let the temporary defeat keep us down OR we can choose to use it as a fuel to push further.
We can choose to see failure as defeat OR we can choose to turn it into a learning experience.
We can choose to dwell on past mistakes OR we can look at them as the feedback we need to make us stronger and wiser.
We can choose to see stumbling blocks as disappointments OR we can choose to see them as stepping stones to success.
It's all a choice! Which one is your choice?
it is not desirable, is a huge help to keep us on track.
